How we deliver

The work we sign our name to

A deliberate, four-step engagement pattern — shaped by experience and kept deliberately small.

1. Listen

We begin with the decisions that need to be made, not the data that happens to be available. Stakeholder conversations, a written statement of intent, a short document that says — in plain English — what good looks like. No engagement starts without it.

2. Model

Before any pipeline is built, we model the domain. What are the entities? What are the facts worth counting? What are the contracts between the systems we'll be joining? Getting this right on paper saves weeks of rework later.

3. Build

Engineered to the standard the work deserves: version control, tests, observability, and sensible defaults. We favour boring technology in the plumbing so we can afford to be interesting in the presentation layer.

4. Hand over

Every engagement ends with a hand-over pack: runbook, architecture diagram, known-knowns and known-unknowns, and a 30-minute conversation with whoever will own it next. We measure a good engagement by how confidently our client operates it without us.

What we commit to in writing

  • A named principal on every engagement
  • A weekly written update — short, honest, and easy to forward
  • Code and artefacts delivered in a repository you own
  • A fixed scope or a weekly cap on time-and-materials — never an open chequebook
  • A clean hand-over, documented and rehearsed

What we won't do

  • Recommend tooling we wouldn't use ourselves
  • Staff an engagement with someone more junior than the person who scoped it
  • Publish a number we haven't traced to source
  • Leave a dependency on us after the project ends, unless you explicitly want one
Do it carefully, write it down, and leave the place tidier than you found it. That's the whole method.

Have data? Let's turn it into decisions.

A short, honest conversation — no pitch theatre — to see whether we're the right fit for your information problem.
